The cost of lessons is $90 per calendar month (or $25 per lesson). For the $10/month discount, payment must be made by check or cash at the first lesson of the month. There will be no refund for short lessons or missed lessons. If the first lesson of the month is missed without notice, the cost of the remaining three lessons is $100. A $25 fee will be assessed with any returned payments. (Please contact me for hourly rates or if you want to pay by credit card please click the paypal link at the bottom of the page.)

If the student's normal lesson day happens to fall on a day that there are five of in a given month (in July 2003, for instance, there were five Thursdays), you can choose either of the following options:

     (a) Pay $100 at the beginning of the month for five normally scheduled lessons.

     (b) Pay $90 at the beginning of the month and skip one of the lessons, letting me know at the beginning of the month which lesson you'll skip.

     (c) Pay $25 at each lesson

If the student's normal lesson day falls on Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day, the lesson for that day will be skipped, and the charge for the month's three remaining lessons will be $70. If a lesson has to be skipped because I have an unavoidable scheduling conflict, I'll let you know in advance, and you can choose whether to reschedule the lesson at a mutually agreeable time, ask for a refund, or take a credit toward the next month's lessons. With a minimum of one day advance notice, it may be possible to reschedule an upcoming lesson. Please feel free to ask, but please also understand that as my schedule fills up, I may not be able to accommodate all rescheduling requests. Missed lessons can never be rescheduled after the fact.

I will send you a monthly invoice either by USPS or by email.  If you would like your due date to be anything other than the first of the month, please contact me.

Cello lessons will normally be scheduled on Monday thru Fridays between 6 and 9 P.M. and on Saturdays from 9 A.M to 5 P.M. All lessons are given at my studio in Los Angeles. If you would prefer to schedule lessons at some other time, please let me know. I can't promise to accommodate all such requests, but I'm happy to work with you to try to find a mutually agreeable time.

Lesson times may not be "held" without payment and resumed at a later date. If you have any questions or concerns about these policies please feel free to discuss them with me. I can be reached at (310) 499-0558, or by email at lessons@ciaocello.com
